Your Partnership in the Gospel

InPhilippians 1:5, the apostle Paul gave thanks for the church's “fellowship in the gospel.” The Greek word for fellowship (koinonia) means sharing or partnership. So Paul was thanking them for their shared part of the gospel-spreading load. Just like two families that enter into a business partnership, the Philippian church together, with Paul, shared the responsibility, risk, labor, and investment of the gospel work—an investment of time, energy, care, prayer ... and money.

Like the Philippian church, we at Desert Springs Church (DSC) believe that financial giving is part of our corporate partnership in the gospel. It should be sacrificial, joyful, and an act of worship (see 2 Corinthians 8-9).

Financial Contributions to DSC Can Occur in a Few Different Ways

  1. Offering boxes are located at the back of the Worship Center and in the main foyer. You can place an offering into one of the boxes before or after a service.

  2. You can mail your offering to the church office.

  3. You can give online, either with a one-time gift or by setting up a monthly automatic withdraw. You will have to create a profile in our secure network.

We strongly caution using your credit card for giving if it essentially means that you are going into debt or deeper debt. For many, credit cards and/or automatic withdraws are simply a convenient and efficient way to manage cash flow. Giving through a credit card or monthly automatic withdraw will be appropriate and helpful to some, but not all. Where that method is used, care should be given that its convenience does not remove the worshipful and thoughtful aspects of giving to the Lord's work. Of course, it is also possible for regular check-writing and cash-folding givers to give out of mere habit, rather than from the heart.

However we give, with however much, let us give in remembrance of what Christ gave us.
