DSC KIDS
DSC Kids exists to join with parents in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the next generation in earnest hope that they will be united to Christ by faith and live for His glory both now and forever.
DSC Kids
Our mission as DSC Kids staff and volunteers is to partner with families by supporting children and parents, and to free the parents, of the very youngest among us, to worship and serve with the confidence that their children will be well cared for in a loving, safe and clean environment.
Our Preschool ministry partners with families by supporting children and parents through a safe, loving and Christ-centered environment where children are taught the truths of Scripture, where children feel comfortable learning, and where parents feel secure entrusting their children to us while they worship and serve. We play, sing and teach the Bible during DSC Kids every Sunday. We also believe that children are never too young to participate in the cooperate worship service with the rest of the body and encourage families to train their children to participate by attending the gathering alongside their parents.
All our volunteers are required to be screened and trained before they can serve with children. We also request that parents follow our Wellness Policy as they consider dropping off their children at DSC Kids.
Our Elementary ministry builds on the foundation laid in Preschool by partnering with families to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in earnest hope that their children will be united to Christ by faith and live for His glory both now and forever. We teach our Elementary children about the nature and character of God and learn about His magnificent attributes. Sundays at DSC Kids revolve around age appropriate, gospel centered teaching, worship through song and Bible study. We mix some fun in there as well!

Service Opportunities
SMALL GROUP LEADER
Our Small group leaders primarily build relationships with the kids in their group as they teach a scripture-saturated lesson. Each week they facilitate both a discussion time and activities for a group of 10 to 15 kids. Small group time is spent looking at passages of Scripture, asking questions to help the kids grow their understanding and showing them how the Bible relates to their lives. This is also a time for prayer, getting to know the kids and helping them memorize Bible verses.

CHILD CHECK-IN TEAM
Our Child Check In team serves a vital role, acting as the first faces that members, attendees and first time guests see when they arrive for DSC Kids. CCI Team members greet families, check kids into their appropriate classrooms, provide families with information and monitor the front desk and hallways at the beginning of services.

Family Equipping
Our goal for Family Equipping is to coordinate DSC's practices so that all members develop diverse discipling relationships and so that parents are acknowledged, equipped, and held accountable as primary disciple-makers in their children's lives.
Family Discipleship is commending the gospel and modeling a sincere faith in your home, teaching your family to treasure Christ with the hope that your family becomes followers of Jesus Christ and live to glorify him. We use 3 strategies in our Family Discipleship in the home.
Creating intentional time built into the rhythm of the family's life for the purpose of thinking about, talking about and living out the gospel.
Capturing and leveraging opportunities in the course of everyday life for the purpose of gospel-centered conversations.
Marking and making occasions to celebrate and commemorate significant spiritual milestones of God's work in the life of the family and child.
